Jinko ESS signed a landmark framework agreement, further consolidating the strategic partnership between both parties in the field of large-scale battery energy storage systems (BESS). The agreement was signed at METLEN's Athens headquarters, establishing a cooperation framework for the deployment of over 3 GWh of energy storage projects in Chile and the European market. This collaboration centers on the 1.6 GWh project currently underway in Chile, where Jinko ESS will provide its cutting-edge G2 Utility series energy storage systems, with full delivery to be completed by Q4 2025.

Located in Dongguan, China, which has a hot and humid climate, the total project capacity is 87 MW / 209 MWh.

 Jinko ESS deployed a large-scale energy storage system for Athens International Airport (AIA) to support its carbon neutrality target by 2025. Upon completion, AIA will become the largest self-consumption system operator among global airport facilities and the first international airport to achieve 100% energy self-sufficiency. This project is also Greece's first large-scale energy storage system integrated with a PV plant.

The energy storage system applied in this project features high energy density, scalability, controllability, and flexibility, ensuring highly resilient renewable power generation, peak shaving, and backup power functions.
