Creating a new benchmark for energy storage | JinkoSolar joins forces with China Energy Engineering Group and three other enterprises to sign virtual power plant cooperation agreement

Recently, JinkoSolar, a highly innovative photovoltaic and energy storage enterprise, announced the signing of a four-party cooperation agreement with China Energy Engineering Group (Shanghai) Complete Equipment Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “CEEC”), China Construction Third Engineering Bureau First Construction Engineering Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “CCTEB First Company”), and Wuhan Otley Technology Industrial Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Wuhan Otley”), to jointly promote the high-quality implementation of a 440 MWh distributed smart energy storage virtual power plant management platform and virtual power plant technology development and application project. Senior leaders attended the signing ceremony, including Wang Wenjian, Deputy General Manager of CEEC, Ma Xuchao, General Manager of the Transport-Energy Integration Division, Zheng Cheng, General Manager of CCTEB First Company, Yang Bo, Deputy General Manager of Marketing, Liao Manjun, General Manager of Wuhan Otley, and Yao Feng, Vice President of JinkoSolar.

At the signing ceremony, the partner companies respectively introduced their relevant businesses and expressed their willingness to cooperate in a friendly manner. The four parties unanimously agreed to leverage their respective strengths in resource development, project construction, equipment procurement, technology R&D and innovation, and management, to create benchmark projects and jointly drive the expansion of the new energy market. According to the agreement, JinkoSolar will supply SunGiga Jinko Dolphin C&I energy storage systems for the virtual power plant project, and will deepen communication and exchanges with partners regarding project execution.

As a new type of power coordination management system, a virtual power plant aggregates and optimises multiple distributed resources such as distributed generation, energy storage and adjustable loads through information technology and software systems. The effective functioning of its power management coordination requires the participation of high-quality energy storage systems. The Jinko Dolphin C&I energy storage system features excellent product performance and employs an ultra-safe system architecture, providing strong support for the efficient regulation of the virtual power plant. The Jinko Dolphin C&I energy storage system adopts an advanced liquid-cooling structure design for more uniform heat dissipation, and an intelligent thermal management strategy that keeps the system temperature difference within 2°C, thereby increasing usable battery capacity by more than 10% and improving system RTE by 2%. In addition, safety and reliability are the primary concerns in energy storage system applications. The Jinko Dolphin C&I energy storage system was designed from the outset with safety as the top priority. It uses high-energy-density lithium iron phosphate batteries, ensuring high cell reliability. Combined with thermal insulation, early warning and other design features, it provides comprehensive, multi-level protection from cell to system level, effectively eliminating safety risks in energy storage systems, enabling worry-free power regulation, and ensuring stable and reliable operation of the power system.

In the future, JinkoSolar will continue to actively coordinate resources from multiple parties, promote the high-quality deployment of more PV-storage projects, provide strong support for the construction of future smart grids, help stabilise power system operation, and achieve the sustainable development of clean energy.
